The Lakeland 12L Compressor Dehumidifier is a great option for those bigger areas of your home where damp tends to linger – think larger living rooms, kitchens, bedrooms, busy utility spaces or anywhere condensation keeps coming back. It works to draw moisture out of the air, helping rooms feel drier, fresher and more comfortable day to day.
How does a compressor dehumidifier work?
As air is drawn in, it passes over cold coils, causing the moisture to condensate and drip into the water tank, leaving the now-dry air to be blown out the top. This means it can extract higher levels of moisture than “desiccant” types – up to 12 litres a day in this case.
Check humidity levels at a glance
Set your preferred humidity target and check the current level in real-time on the display on top. The lower the percentage you choose, the lower the amount of humidity will be left in the air. Aim for 40% in the winter, 50% in the summer – anything under 60% should keep mould at bay.
The indicator light will change colour to show if humidity levels are high (red/over 65%), low (blue/up to 40%) or in the Goldilocks zone of just right (green/40-65%).
Complete control over condensation
Equipped with a range of features and settings to suit your space and your needs, it’s still really easy to choose the mode you need from its touchscreen control panel on top:
- Choice of fan speed –Use Low for everyday use to keep on top of things, or start with High to get a good start on rooms that are particularly suffering from damp problems.
- Sleep –Slows down the fan speed and lowers its energy use for the minimal amount of noise so it doesn’t disturb you at night.
- Timer –Save energy by setting the timer to run from 1-24 hours so it’s only on when you need it to be.
No need to empty the water tank
If you find it’s hard work to empty a heavy water tank, you can attach a hose for continuous drainage, or if you do need to use the 2 litre water tank, it will automatically shut off when full, so there’s no risk of it over-filling.
